Scripting Enabled Seattle

Page history last edited by wendy chisholm 15 years, 5 months ago

Using the barcamp framework--"open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants"-- we share the philosophy and goals that Chris outlined for the September event, "Scripting Enabled is a two day conference and workshop aimed at making the web a more accessible place."  What do *you* want to discuss?  Show up and start talking  or designing  or coding  or creating training materials.  This conference is about what you want to contribute to web accessibility.  Or, if you're not sure how to contribute yet, show up and learn!

Registration for the event is available at:

http://ses.eventwax.com/scripting-enabled-seattle

Attendees include: T.V. Raman and Charles Chen (Google), Matt May (Adobe), Jeffrey Bigham (WebAnywhere), Eitan Isaacson (Accerciser), Wendy Chisholm (University of Washington), and more...

  • When: 1 and 2 November 2008
  • Where: Adobe Building, 701 N 34th St, Seattle, WA 98103
    • The official address is 34th street, but you access the building on Northlake, in the "back" of the 701 building. To get there, you'll need to head towards the ship canal (towards the city).  The Adobe logo is on buildings and we've put up signs at several entrances.  If all of that fails, call me at +1 206.229.1222.

Please sign up for presentations or add ideas for discussion topics or tools to build. If you're looking for ideas for presentations, please refer to the results from Scripting Enabled held in September in London.

Wendy, are you sure about the address for Adobe?

It appears to be a Quizno's - see: http://www.quiznos.com/storefinder/results.aspx?CountryID=1&StateID=62&City=Seattle&Zip=98103&Proximity=5

I think the correct address is supposed to be
801 N 34th St
Seattle, WA 98103
instead.
